Once the weight and heat is lifted it returns to its natural form. The next layers are half inch poly air barrier and lastly 5 inches of HR foam. These layers are your support layers to relieve pressure that often causes stiffness, poor sleep and pain. The foam mattress also has 2 and half inches by 2 inches of perimeter support, for edge stability. One of the best features of this mattress is its resistance to allergens. The mattress is covered with a unique Velour cover to prevent the buildup of bedding allergens. The cover is also removable and machine washable.
